Kriseman orders last call for alcoholic beverages at St. Pete bars to 9 p.m. amid coronavirus concerns

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- To ensure social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman is ordering bars in the city to move their last calls.

According to his announcement on Monday, last calls for alcoholic beverages at bars in St. Pete will be set to 9 p.m., effective Tuesday at noon.

Restaurants, recreational center, bowling alleys and libraries in the area will be ordered to cut their max capacities by 50%.

Kriseman's announcement comes a day after Governor Ron DeSantis said closing restaurants in Florida would not be necessary.
